Brandi Nicole Boord

Events

Brandi Nicole Boord, 29, the loving daughter of Barbara and Mark Boord, formerly of Fairmont, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2019, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia with her loving family at her side.
Brandi was a true gift from God who never met a stranger, and inspired everyone she met with her infectious smile. Growing up a child of parents serving full time in the United States military, Brandi developed a passion for traveling, flip flops, and the sea. Hawaii was her favorite spot on earth, and where she spent four wonderful years living, learning the culture, and attending school.
Brandi's other passion was an admiration for her immediate and extended families. She was always willing to spend endless time with family members playing cards, board games, watching movies, or just talking. She was always the score keeper in every game.
Brandi was a 2007 graduate of East Fairmont High School in Fairmont, West Virginia. In 2018 she graduated from Penn Foster as a Pharmacy Tech, and was employed by Walgreen's Pharmacy in Warner Robins, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mark (Babe) Boord Sr, Darrell Linden Williams, and her great grandparents Andrew and Emma Opyoke, John and Elizabeth Hannah Towles, and her beloved dog Zoey.
Brandi leaves behind her parents Mark and Barbara Boord, two precious grandmothers Patricia Williams of Kathleen, Georgia, and Shirley Boord of Fairmont, West Virginia; aunts Brenda (Bob) Beatty of Ocean View, Delaware, Belinda (Brad) Eagle of Fairmont, West Virginia, and an uncle Michael (Lynn) Williams of Lexington, South Carolina; Cousins Josh and Hannah Neely, Megan and Zach Williams, and Jannie, Emma, and Adam Eagle.
A memorial service celebrating Brandi's life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 208 Langston Road, Perry, Georgia on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 1:00 pm. Brandi's parents ask that you honor her at the memorial service by wearing your most comfortable shoes, shorts, blue jeans and flip flops.

"When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea draws them out with its great wind sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused."
Rainer Maria Rilke

For the short time I knew Brandi, she touched my life more than I thought she ever would. That infectious smile and brilliant laugh. You will be missed.

My heart just breaks thinking of such a tremendous loss at such a young age. I loved reading about her joy in living - especially that smile! I share her love of the sea, Hawaii for Brandi, Cape Cod for me. I've heard they allow flip-flops in Heaven ; - ) God be with all your family and keep her memory alive.
