Bradley Lyons Curry

Bradley Lyons Curry, 73, of Fairmont, died Friday, June 30, 2019, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on March 31, 1946, a son of the late Arthur R. Curry and Helen Lyons Curry.

An alumnus of Fairmont Senior High School, class of 1964, Brad joined the Navy shortly after his graduation, during the Vietnam era. His duty in the Navy took him to various ports around the world, but his main duty station was in New Zealand as a Radar Operator. After his military service, Brad worked for a short time in Washington, DC, attended Fairmont State, and then worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier at the main Fairmont branch until his retirement several years ago.

He is survived by his brother, Franklin B. Curry (Cindy), of Bruceton Mills; two nephews, Zachary B. Curry, of Bruceton Mills and Graham S. (Johanna) Curry, of Fairmont; a great niece, Phoebe Lu Curry; and several cousins.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, Brad will be cremated without visitation or service. Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.

The family wishes also to thank the staff of The Arbors in Fairmont for their kindnesses and assistance to Brad during his residence there, and the Clarksburg Veterans Administration Hospital physicians and medical and administrative staff for their superior care of Brad over several stays in the past years.
