Beulah (Berry) Lake, 95, of Arnettsville, passed away on Friday (Jan. 5, 2018) at the Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1922 to the late John and Myra (Eddy) Berry in Hagans, West Virginia.
She was married to her late husband, Louis Woodrow Lake Sr., for 75 years prior to his passing in 2014.
Beulah was a lifelong member of Arnettsville United Methodist Church. She retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Factory in Fairmont with 25 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, bowling and travelling through all the 50 United States, Canada and Mexico. She also loved her church family and volunteered for many years in the Women's Club and as a Sunday school teacher.
Beulah is survived by her son, Woody Lake and his wife Shirley (Cosco), of The Villages, Florida; grandchildren, Kevin Yost and his wife Diane, Mark Yost and his wife Linda, all of Morgantown, Louis Woodrow Lake III and his wife Julie, of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Cristal Lake Sanders and her husband Dwayne, of Richmond, Virginia; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Lake Yost; her granddaughter, Shelly Ann Lake; sisters, Ruth Herndon; and her brothers, Raymond, Carl and Bob Berry.
Friends and family may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home at 209 Merchant Street. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery.
