Bernadette M. Jurick, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on September 6, 1936, the eighth child of the late John J. Jurick, Sr. and Mary Krisak Jurick.
She attended grade school at Holy Rosary School. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1954. She also graduated from West Virginia Business College in Clarksburg. She was employed at Cook Motor Lines and later at Central Storage. She was also employed at Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in Fairmont for a period of 18 years, and later at the Marion County Commission and County Clerk's Office for 17 years. She also was employed at Sayboy's Restaurant. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont and served as a Lector at Mass for a period of time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Mary (Krisak) Jurick; brothers, Joseph, Jay, and John, Jr.; and sisters, Genevieve Mary, OSF, Regina Ann, and Mary Louise.
She is survived by her brother, Andrew B. Jurick of Berkeley Springs, WV; sister-in-law, Margaret Jurick of Chesapeake, VA; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews, and cousins.
Bernadette had chosen cremation as her final disposition. The family will receive friends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Maryland Avenue in Fairmont on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Clarksburg. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.domicofh.com.
