Barbara Jean Securro, 88, of Fairmont, passed from this life Monday (Jan. 8, 2018), at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Marion County on Aug. 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Daniel H. and Lenore Hutson Moore.
She was a devout Christian and a member of the Fairmont Christian Assembly Church. She had formerly worked at the G.C. Murphy Company and later worked in the sealed beam department at Westinghouse.
She enjoyed family gatherings and cookouts, reading, word puzzles and most of all shopping.
Mrs. Securro is survived by her two loving daughters Connie (James H.) Hall and Sandy Laurita both of Fairmont; two brothers Roger (Linda) Moore of Fairmont and Robert Moore of Rivesville; three sisters Betty Morgan of Four States, Shirley Leonard of Fairmont and Charlene (Frank) Riffle of Florida; four grandsons Benjamin Hall, Nicholas (Deanna) Hall, James Hall II (Cindy) and Aron A. Berry; two great grandsons James Hall III and Dylan Yanero; also several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Securro on September 14, 1997; a granddaughter Susan Rae Hall; two brothers-in-law Thomas Morgan and John Leonard; five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont.
Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Batton officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
