Armand D. Donofrio, 85, of Fairmont, died Tuesday (July 5, 2016) at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Aug. 9, 1930, son of the late Antonio and Michelina Palotta Donofrio.
Armand worked at Owens Illinois glass plant for 20 years and retired from Kroger Store with 24 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a veteran and served in the United States Army.
Armand was a graduate of East Fairmont High School Class of 1949 and attended Fairmont State College. He was an huge supporter of the East Fairmont High School Busy Bee Band. He also enjoyed attending his class reunions and area high school sporting events.
Armand is survived by his sister-in-law, Lena Donofrio, of Fairmont; brother-in-law Sam Cangealose of Monroe, Michigan; nephews, Nick (Sheila) Donofrio Jr. of Rochester, New York, and Jeffrey (Debra) Cangealose of Monroe, Michigan; and niece, Judy (Michael) Cangealose-Hsiang of Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Nick Donofrio and sister Elda Cangealose.
In keeping with Armand's wishes, a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mount Carmel Cemetery, with Sister Stella Cronauer officiating.
Donations is memory of Armand may be made to the East Fairmont High School Busy Bee Band.
Arrangements are under the care of Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Avenue Fairmont.
