Arley Guy Carpenter, 82, of Daybrook, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2017) at his residence. He was born Aug. 11, 1935 in Fairmont, a son of the late Samuel George Carpenter and Nannie Mae Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter was a retired custodian having worked for schools in Florida. He was a United States Army veteran.
Surviving are two sisters and their husbands, Mazzie and George McCoy and Nora and Thomas McCoy; two brothers and their spouses, Fay Carpenter and Clyde and Eve Carpenter; sister-in-law, Edna Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Martha Carpenter and a brother, John Carpenter.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Freddie Eddy, II officiating. Following services his request for cremation will be honored.
