Allan Wayne Wolfe, 69, of Bridgeport, passed from this life Monday (Aug. 21, 2017) at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a long, valiant battle with multiple medical issues.
He was born in Grafton on Oct. 2, 1947, a son of the late Ardman and Wilma Criss Wolfe.
He and his wife were the former co-owners of the White Hall Book and Craft Store. He was a very active member of the Eldora United Methodist Church, having served in many positions within the structure of the church. He was very active within the Gideon organization. He was especially active in the United Methodist Men organization, having served in his church, the Mon Valley District Men and the National United Methodist Men. He was selected as the West Virginia Conference UM Man of the Year in 2009, of which he was very honored.
He was also a very active volunteer in various food pantries and low-income family school supplies and similar organizations through the Mon Valley District. He was also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America.
He was an outdoorsman and formerly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He most recently enjoyed feeding his many birds and squirrels. He learned to work with his computer and was a Web Master. He enjoyed reading and living by his Bible.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rose Marie Wycoff Wolfe; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry L. (Betty) Wolfe of Canton, Ohio; his sister, Janice D. Cool and her companion Roger Wolfe of Fellowsville; nephews, Dustin (Ebony) Wolfe and Brian Wolfe both of Ohio; his niece, Tasha (Mark) Parr of North Carolina; great-niece, Camryn Isla, and great-nephew, Bradyn M. Wolfe; his father-in-law, Reverend Ralph Wycoff and his wife Reverend Elizabeth Shaver Wycoff.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary C. Wycoff.
Mrs. Wolfe would like to thank the wonderful folks at the Fresenius Dialysis Center for the wonderful care they provided.

Allan requested cremation as his method of final disposition. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at the Eldora United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Richards officiating.
