Alfred Lee Stemple, 80, of Fairmont, passed from this life Thursday (Feb. 1, 2018) at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Fairmont on Jan. 31, 1938 a son of the late Ferrell and Wilma Irene Lee Stemple.
Lee was a mechanic and worked at several garages in the area, retiring from the C.W. Stickley Company. He worked on about anything with wheels, especially VW diesels. He also enjoyed his model trains and riding motorcycles with his wife. He attended the Simirna church.
Mr. Stemple is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Norma Satterfield Stemple; his brother, Gloy (Carol) Stemple of Grafton; one nephew, Kevin (Paula) Stemple of Fairmont; and one niece, Kristy (Randy) Lewis of Grafton.
Mrs. Stemple would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Cancer Center at Fairmont Regional Medical Center for their wonderful care.
There will be no funeral home visitation. A procession will leave the Frey Home For Funerals at 10 a.m. Saturday morning to Grandview Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Pastor Steve Stemple officiating.
