Albert Paul Anderson Jr., of Fairmont, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Monday (Aug. 7, 2017).
He was born in Clinton, Tennessee, on June 19, 1944, a son of the late Albert Paul and Madge Linger Anderson.
He graduated East Fairmont High School in 1963. Mr. Anderson was a retired electrician with the Local 425 working for Baldwin Electric for 50 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and throwing horseshoes. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen Hoult Anderson; one son, Albert Paul Anderson III of Fairmont; three daughters, Brenda Anderson of Fairmont, Teresa Stapleton of Fairmont, and Carie Hoult of Fairmont; two brothers, Gene Linger and his wife Sharon of Buckhannon and Jim Anderson and his wife Mary Margaret of Fairmont; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Linda Crago of Fairmont, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Paul Edward Anderson; one sister, Loretta Arnett; and one brother, Wayne Anderson.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at Victory Baptist Church, 1875 Morgantown Ave., Fairmont.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Victory Baptist Church, 1875 Morgantown Ave., Fairmont, with Pastor Nathan Barker officiating.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his body will be cremated.
