She enjoyed making birthday cakes for family, cooking Italian dinners, socializing daily with her friends at McDonalds, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. "Aggie" and her husband, Jimmy, enjoyed frequent trips to the Charlestown Racetrack, Atlantic City, and has visited Las Vegas 13 times.
Agnes worked at the Fairmont Theater for 25 years and was well known and recognized as the "popcorn and candy lady."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Celeste Moffa, husband James V. Moroose, and her brother Anthony Moffa.
Those left behind to cherish Agnes' memory include her children; James V. Moroose II, Donald A. Moroose (Lynda), Celeste K. Moroose, her grandchildren: Steve Moroose (Tina) and Andrea Johnson-Delaportas (Dino)
The family will celebrate the life of Agnes at a private memorial led by Fr. Joseph Konikattil and Deacon David Lester of St. Peters the Fisherman Catholic Church.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver in Fairmont, Ginger Harbert, as well as Dorothy Lefevre, from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Martinsburg, who administered Communion to Agnes each Sunday for the past three years.
The legacy of Agnes and the love we have for her will forever be cherished. We have nothing but great memories of her.
"Mom, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us." We could not have asked for a better Mom or Grandma...She was the BEST!
